Forbidden Island

Saturday August 2, 2014

Oasis Aqualounge was transformed into an exotic “Forbidden Island” Saturday night as the main floor was decked out with lots of greenery, bamboo and Tiki inspired decor.  Green, blue and purple mood lighting added to the overall atmosphere both inside and outside on the the pool deck.

A huge crowd gathered all the way along the banquette of the pool deck and even in the pool waiting for the first show of the evening.  Newcomer to Oasis conga percussionist Nigel really got the party started, his amazing drumming skills really set the tone for the evening.  Following the conga prelude, an amazing feather fan routine by the shimmy queen Mistress V had everyone cheering and excited for more!

After a brief intermission Nigel’s conga drumming lured guests back inside on the main dance floor for the late night performances.  Aviva the Mirage, Oasis resident dancer Fionna Flauntit and Esther De Ville wowed guests with their exceptional performances, unique styles and amazing costumes!  Following the performances DJ Ella Vation played a fantastic mix of house music while Nigel continued to play until the wee hours.  Whooever wasn’t on the dance floor was groovin’ to their own beat upstairs inthe play rooms.  Special thanks to Nigel, Ella Vation and all the performers for an amazing night.
