Burlesque Social & Sex Scavenger Hunt

Burlesque Social 012

For guests that came out early enough on Saturday, they had the pleasure of hearing modern folk singer and bouzouki player Bad Beth (& Beyond) grace the Oasis stage. Or good friends from Our Special Place met this lovely lady in New Orleans and just knew she would be a hit with the Oasis crowd. She sang everything from cheeky adult content songs like “Show Me On the Doll” and Irish folk songs to Rush covers, strumming away like crazy on her beautiful instrument. She played a great set, just over a half an hour, to an absolutely astonished crowd. We hope to have Bad Beth & Beyond back in the future.

Later in the evening Great Canadian Burlesque took to the stage, their first show around 11pm. Mizzy Thrasher, El Torro, duet by Willy Wonder & Marilyn St. Evans and headliner Gigi Vanilla brought the house down, you could hear the crowd cheering all the way upstairs! After a short intermission GCB hit the stage again, Fionna Flauntit, Esther De Ville and Dolly Berlin proved GCB has it all when it comes to the art of taking it off. Mikey from the Everything to do with Sex Showcame out to promote his event and graciously was giving out passes to the upcoming ETDWSS. For three best dressed contestants we also gave out a Great Canadian Burlesque prize pack, ETDWSS tickets and a Couples Weekend Pass to Oasis.

Special thanks to The Original Face for hosting the burlesque show & vending her beautiful hair fascinators, Lady Shayne for stage managing and to our friends from Our Special Place for introducing their New Orleans gem!

Sex Scavenger Hunt By: Miss F
On Monday October 7th, Oasis Aqualounge hosted a special event called ‘Pirate Pleasure & Sex Scavenger Hunt, which was a student event for lads and lassies 35 and under. Guests were encouraged to dress up in their most scandalous pirate attire and participate in a scavenger hunt, which led them through all of the rooms in the club. Conquerors of the scavenger hunt were presented with prizes and The Love Shop was also on deck with fabulous booty for the winners of the raffle.

DJ Johnny B Goode played a selection of wicked tunes and attendees were treated to extraordinary burlesque performances by St. Stella and El Toro, who both honored the pirate theme in their routines. The Captain Morgan rum flowed and matey’s were in high spirits. ‘Shiver me timbers,’-a hearty time was had by all!
