If you watch TV, listen to the radio, own a cell phone or computer then you have definitely heard or seen this latest phenomenon that has been spreading the word about ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) across the world. During Hot Springs on Wednesday August 27 Oasis held their version of the Ice Bucket Challenge…in the buff! This definitely was one of the best ice breakers (no pun intended) that we’ve had at Hot Springs!
Guests had a blast as they watched each brave soul who bared it all for a bucket of ice water being dumped over their heads. No doubt Oasis was the perfect setting for such a challenge, the heated pool & hot tub certainly were put to good use post-bucket spillage.
All proceeds have been donated to the ALS Association. We want to thank everyone for their support.

XStasy Magazine Expo

Oasis Aqualounge had the pleasure of exhibiting at the XStasy Magazine Art of Seduction Expo last weekend. Trade showgoers got to meet the lovely Kelly Abbass at the booth along with some of the club’s amazing staff. We got to meet lots of new friends, say hello to our neighbours and even take in a bit of the stage show. Our good friends Great Canadian Burlesque were among the exhibitors, these gals sure know the art of taking it off! Special thanks to everyone who attended the show and to our staff who participated in the set up, tear down and working the booth we couldn’t have done it without you!
Looking for volunteers to be filmed at Oasis Aqualounge-closed hours
Actor/Director Steve Markle, best known for the films Testees (2008) and Camp Hollywood (2009) is shooting a documentary about the world’s most interesting women that is scheduled to premier at next year’s TIFF festival. He will be interviewing Jana Matthews, owner of Oasis Aqualounge. In addition, he would like to include footage of the club and is happy to include any volunteers that are interested in appearing on camera, as part of this project.
Since discretion and comfort of our guests is of great importance, we are looking to open up the venue outside of regular business hours to allow any volunteers who would like to appear on camera during this filming. Couples and women are invited to Oasis Aqualounge on Monday September 29th between the hours of 8:00am-11:00am to enjoy the facilities, socialize and play-while participating in front of the cameras. All participants would be required to sign a waiver in order to be filmed. Guests will receive a 50% off card for participating.
