The last Wednesday of July reached record breaking temperatures and Oasis Aqualounge was the place to be. Guests packed themselves into the pool to beat the heat while hostess Fionna Flauntit set up the makeshift bars poolside for the Bar Wars cocktail competition. Oasis staff members Rob & K battled each other with their original drink recipes that were judged by the lovely Miss F and Jonathan Kingpin of Kingpin’s Hideaway. When Fionna blew a whistle the participants had to freeze while she switched out their ingredients, bar utensils and then finally swapped their own stations so they were using each others remaining ingredients! Guests laughed hysterically and cheered them on. The winner of the first competition was Rob for making the better tasting drink. The next round gave each participant the chance to re-make their drink how it was originally supposed to be made. The winner of this round was K, she will be a finalist for the Oasis Signature Drink contest at the next Bar Wars in late August.
Following Bar Wars Fionna and staff prepared the Jell-O wrestling pool on the pool deck. This was an instant hit as DJ Ella Vation, Fionna and Oasis AquaFlirt stripped down and “got down” in the kiddie pool full of Jell-O. It was an amazing way for the girls to cool down, although many guests would agree it got everyone hot and bothered…frisky times! The Jell-O wrestling went over amazingly, Oasis is working on a future Jell-O wrestling date.
Oasis Aqualounge would also like to send a special thank you to the Wratens for visiting the club during Skirts Ahoy Burlesque Night. This lovely couple always know how to treat the ladies right, the amazing collection of sexy outfits given away to guests that evening were some of the most interesting and racy pieces yet!
